APL CARGO's driver ignored almost all our calls, had a morning pick up before Noon on a weekend load (REEFER PRODUCE). Dispatch stated they could not get a hold of the driver. Driver finally answers says he will make it by 1PM. Then later states after an hour that his ETA will be 3:30PM. We failed the load to our customer.

Just an ok carrier, some lanes run very smoothly and others are a mess. On the good ones, communication is good on all fronts, tracking is consistent and they are timely. On the rough loads, they've not been forthcoming w/driver info (hours of service), are unresponsive and late to appts. Will give them another go, but it is a risk
