Rye Beach Landscaping, LLC was founded in 1996 by Bennett Holmes as a landscape maintenance and landscape construction company, serving a mostly-residential client base. Seven years later, Bennett sold the residential lawn care division to focus exclusively on landscape design/build services. The company grew exponentially over the next several years, especially in the area of hardscaping with natural stone construction and concrete pavers. It became clear to Bennett that in order to control the quality and efficiency of these larger construction projects, Rye Beach Landscaping would need to expand in the area of excavation.

After a significant capital investment in 2009, Rye Beach Landscaping opened its excavation division. A seasoned heavy equipment operator and former business owner was hired to manage that division. The new excavation division at Rye Beach Landscaping opened new doors to new home construction, demolition, and municipal projects like town sewer and water hookups or road construction. The snow and ice management division also benefited, now taking on state highways and larger commercial plowing accounts like condo associations on the New Hampshire seacoast.
