Carrier agreed to pick up a load in Edmonton on Thursday and deliver in Northern Idaho on Monday, less than 600 total miles. We asked what day they would deliver because we needed to hire a forklift to unload them. They promised Monday morning, then on Friday afternoon at 3:45 they claim a border issue and they won’t be able to deliver on Monday. They wouldn’t answer the phone and we’re unresponsive via email. I understand things happen in the trucking industry but not communicating AT ALL is a BIG RED FLAG. A carrier that ACTIVELY REFUSES to answer calls and work out problems is not someone you should ever work with. AVOID NEWTOWN HOLDINGS LTD if you care about your client relationships.
