I booked this load with Deepak at 9:00 AM, with a scheduled pickup appointment at 1:00 PM. He initially confirmed that the driver would arrive before noon, but the ETA was rescheduled three times. Finally, at 2:36 PM, the load was cancelled with the explanation that the driver was still at the receiver.
This was especially concerning because Deepak was aware that the shipper would remain open until 6:00 PM and that the driver was only 20 miles away. Since the pickup was in California, our office had no coverage at that time to recover the load, which unfortunately damaged our relationship with the customer.
Given this experience, I strongly recommend that everyone avoid working with this carrier moving forward. Their handling of this situation was highly unprofessional and has had a significant negative impact on our operations.
