The carrier booked a 40ft long, 8ft wide load of pipe supports for $1000. When they got to the shipper, the carrier demanded we pay them $1500 to do the load or they wouldn't take the load. Nothing had changed with the load form the time thy booked it until the arrived at the shippers other than they misunderstood what they were told and wanted to try to benefit from it as the load was still 40ft long and 8ft wide. They misunderstood, thinking they were picking up one piece even though we told them it was a load of pipe supports 40ft long 8ft wide and nothing had changed on the load.
