Freeport Transport Industries, Inc. was started in 1951 by the late Andy Smetanick. He started the company with a 1940’s single axle dump truck and big dreams. After passing the reins on to son, Don Smetanick, Freeport Transport Industries sprouted. FTI has since grown to a 80+ power unit fleet and fully operational shop with hopes of growing to 100+ power units in the future.
