This carrier displayed highly unprofessional behavior. He claimed his Zelle account was established in 2019; however, it was actually registered in July 2025. Because of this, the daily transfer limit was set to $1,000. We promptly sent $1,000 and offered to send the remaining $300 first thing in the morning or via ACH, but he refused both options.
Despite this, he contacted the customer and falsely stated that we were refusing to pay him, which was not true. We even provided him with screenshots showing the Zelle message that read:
“FOR YOUR SECURITY, YOUR DAILY LIMIT FOR NEW RECIPIENTS IS $1,000. YOU MAY BE ABLE TO SEND HIGHER AMOUNTS TO THIS RECIPIENT AS YOU ESTABLISH PAYMENT HISTORY WITH THEM.”
If his account had truly been active since 2019, this limit would not have applied. His misinformation caused unnecessary complications, and he further escalated the situation by contacting the customer with false claims. Ultimately, he reloaded the truck onto his trailer and stated he was returning it to North Carolina. This carrier also conducted himself in an unprofessional manner and was extremely rude and disrespectful toward our dispatcher, despite her efforts to explain the situation clearly and deescalate the matter as professionally as possible.
