“Unfair Practices”

What went poorly?
  • Unprofessional
  • Dishonest
  • Slow Payment

On February 24, 2026, during transit from St. Louis to Oklahoma City, our reefer unit failed to restart. We immediately notified the broker and attempted to restart the unit. Within an hour, we contacted a mobile repair technician in Joplin, MO, who informed us that the necessary part was unavailable. We relayed this information to the broker and also advised that we had located a cold-storage facility en route, though it had no available capacity. The next morning we took the truck to Tulsa, OK where the unit was repaired by 8:00AM and returned to service. On the 25th of February, the broker instructed us to not deliver the load, demanded that we disposed of it, and required proof and a paid disposal receipt. Per our insurance adjuster, we could not dispose of the load while an active insurance claim was open. We were then dispatched by the same broker to pick up a second load, which was picked up and delivered on time, but we have never received payment for it. The broker is also demanded that we pay them $2500 for the damaged load but have never provided any type of documentation regarding the contents of the load or an invoice for the contents of the load.
