Warehouses in Virginia
76 facilities
Virginia warehousing is shaped by the state’s Atlantic ports and its main freight corridors. I-95 carries north-south distribution through central Virginia, I-64 connects Richmond to Hampton Roads, and I-81 serves the Shenandoah Valley and the western edge of the state. Cargo moving through the Port of Virginia and inland terminals feeds regional storage for imported consumer goods, food and beverage freight, building products, and manufacturing inputs.
Richmond and Chesapeake anchor two very different flows: central Virginia replenishment and port-adjacent container freight. Virginia also supports ambient/dry space alongside refrigerated, frozen, food grade, transload, cross-dock, bonded, and FTZ operations. Freight here usually moves by short truck hauls between the port, rail-served hubs, and highway distribution points, then fans out toward the Mid-Atlantic and the Southeast.
