Cross-Dock Warehouses
129 facilities
Cross-dock space is built for freight that changes trailers fast, with little or no storage time between inbound and outbound moves. It fits grocery, packaged food, parcel, auto parts, and retail replenishment, where steady flow matters more than long dwell time. The work is about sorting, staging, and reloading freight close to the dock doors.
Cross-dock warehouses cluster near seaports, intermodal rail ramps, airports, and highway junctions that keep long-haul freight moving. That includes the I-5, I-10, I-35, I-80, and I-95 corridors, plus border and port gateways on the Pacific edge in California and along the border in Texas. The strongest flows tend to sit around coastal import markets, inland distribution belts, and metro freight hubs where inbound loads are broken down and sent back out the same day. That is why cross-dock freight moves in short turns, often sorted and reloaded the same shift to keep trailers moving through the network.
