It is very hit or miss. I only use Landstar if BCO. Many agents lie and simply post my loads for a lower rate. Paul from the LHT Agency was the most recent one to get busted. Absolute last resort carrier for me.

Landstar gets a lot of mixed reviews. It really does depend who you get, and we got a great dispatcher and driver. I have stayed away from using Landstar because of some of the horror stories I have heard from others but was in a pinch and they were available. My first time using them went great, they were on time. They tracked consistently. The dispatcher was quick to respond and prompt. It went very well!

Landstar can be a great addition to your carrier base, but you do have to find the right person to work with. They are known for some discrepancies in the industry and some of those are warranted. Big company with lots of people so the percentage of something going wrong is rather high. Gwynn Logistics, LLC in Texas is a good office to work with.
